6.30pm on a Saturday night. What was I doing? Sipping a drink in a lady-like fashion? Getting ready for a night out dancing in my highest heels and flyest outfit? Filling my face in a swanky restaurant or cool cafe?

Er no....I was lying on the settee wrapped up in a fleece watching a wildlife programme. 🤣

What has happened?!

When did I become old and why did no-one warn me so I could be prepared? šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø (The reality is that I avoid going out and hate crowds but you get the idea!) Tis not a life of glam & adventure I lead! 😁

Truth is: these cats are gorgeous! So while my head said Gladiators new series.....my heart said watch the Cheetahs.

Who could resist those magnificent creatures with perfectly regal faces, defined bone structure and strong, sleek bodies.

They're walking on the planes of South Africa like they own it. And they're Fierce but inquisitive and ready for danger.

They need to be aware, self-sufficient, determined and resilient. They can't predict the challenges that lie ahead. They can only strive to be ready and survive as best they can.

Like many a Matriarch, Cheetah mum Savannah was injured, exhausted but determined to survive, protect her cubs and grow.

Did she succeed? Damn right she did.

At times the cubs tried to run before they could walk.

To rush at the prey with no strategy, resulting in a loss that was harsh, but a steep learning curve.

So the next time, the cubs were ready; lessons learned, held back, took their time, followed the lead......and took the win.šŸ†šŸ’Ŗ

So what did I learn?

To be more Savannah.

The survival strategy? Simple.

1: Identify the ideal goal. Achievable and realistic

2: Choose how to target. Taking a steady, measured approach

And 3: Never give up.Ā  Your time WILL come.

Who's with me?

See you soon. Be Happy, Healthy and Whole šŸ’œ xx

Lots of love, From Mel C 😘 xx
